VP Calls on MK to Fairly Process Prabowo's Election Case

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla has lauded the Prabowo camp’s decision to file an election dispute lawsuit to the Constitutional Court (MK) and called on all parties to support the move.
“Because that is the path that is in line with the law,” he said after a meeting with the Jakarta Governor and a string of religious and public figures in his residence on Jl. Pangeran Diponegoro on Thursday, May 23, 2019.

Kalla also asked the MK to be fair and independent in dealing with the case, saying the MK was the ultimate hope to gain trust from the people. “That is the best way to resolve [the electoral dispute],” he said.
Jusuf Kalla also appealed to Prabowo-Sandiaga supporters to keep their cool while waiting for the MK’s ruling on the case. “That is our hope,” he said.
